Excerpts from: Incident at Exeter by John Fuller
(Sightings: Exeter, New Hampshire, USA 1965)
Testimony Regarding Movement
*** Some examples of Exeter objects seen which
moved faster than the wind ***
"...when it left, it zoomed right off. It wasn't ten seconds in getting out of sight."
Ron Smith and family:
Fuller: "The weather was good you say?"
Smith: "You could see clear as a bell. And it was right up above us, right over the car." "It didn't move like any aircraft. It seemed to creep along." "And when it left, it zoomed right off. It wasn't ten seconds in getting out of sight."
"When it took off, it didn't make any sound" "Took off real quick. Faster than a jet."
Mr. Donald de Turca - lived in a new development on top of a hill five miles from Lucci home. It was a beautiful, clear night.
"...huge disklike object hove into view not more than 200 or 300 feet above his neighbor's house. It appeared to be 60-70 feet in diameter..."
"It hovered for nearly half an hour....."
"There appeared to be brilliant red lights whirring around the rim..."
"When it took off, it didn't make any sound. Took off real quick. Faster than a jet."
JC (researcher): What "fire balloon" could do this?
jc 7/3/2012: Must be ball lightning.
"...darned if that thing didn't just turn around and take off like a bullet."
pg. 141 Mrs. Delores Gazda - Muscarello's mother from a previous marriage.
Some time after Muscarello had the sighting: "...the other night, the whole neighborhood was shook up. I could see it right here from the landing. And I went and told all the neighbors, and they all saw it with me. It was very low, and spinning....with these red lights. So a few minutes later, an airplane came over and made a circle around it. And darned if that thing didn't just turn around and take off like a bullet."
Fuller met two of Mrs. Gazda's neighbors and they confirmed her story.
jc 7/3/2012: This must be ball lightning, too. Duh!
